ASC 121
Sustainable Architecture
This course introduces non-architecture students to how the principles of sustainability can be applied to the built environment. Examples of architectural projects that demonstrate sustainable futures are presented and discussed. Students become familiar with the environmental and social impacts of the built environment and approaches for implementation of environmentally conscious design. Various behavioural, cultural and technical strategies to reduce the impact of the built environment are discussed as are the means of measuring their success.
