CLD 450
Indigenous Early Learning
This course introduces students to Indigenous models of care and education in the context of settler-colonialism. Students will be introduced to Indigenous early years pedagogies, parenting practices, and cultural frameworks as a mechanism for informing pedagogical practice in the early years. Indigenous conceptualizations of development, care, disability, and support models are offered through an interdisciplinary model to develop professional competencies when working with Indigenous children, families, and communities.
