FNF 520
Contemporary Family Relations
Recent changes to the concept of family require us to fundamentally shift our way of understanding this social phenomenon. What family is appears intrinsically related to what it does; and what matters most are the meanings individuals and groups bring to these domestic arrangements. This (UL) course is an in-depth investigation of the issues affecting contemporary family relationships in Canada. Students will investigate the ways in which these relationships meet the needs of contemporary society.
