This course explores the history of women’s dress through the lens of feminist theory and practice. Topics may include: nineteenth-century dress reform and the 'New Woman'; self-fashioning and universal suffrage; 'power-dressing' in the women’s liberation movement; and identity politics and the body in 3rd wave and 'post-feminist' contexts.
