Canada since 1885: Defining a Nation
This course takes a thematic approach to Canadian history since 1885, emphasizing issues that have moulded the country and challenge us still. Main issues include French-English and Canadian-American relations, regional antagonism to the dream of a nation, political parties as a reflection of social disagreements, the influence of immigration, and the debate over Canada's role in the world.
