African American History
The African American experience spans four-hundred years, from the establishment of the transatlantic slave trade through to the present. Beginning with the long road to freedom and concluding with contemporary struggles for civil rights, this course explores the strategies African Americans employed to challenge institutional racism and white privilege and build vibrant communities in even the most hostile of environments.
