The Law of Hospitality and Tourism
This course covers aspects of business law from the hospitality perspective. It deals with issues such as discrimination in the provision of services, exclusion clauses in recreational activities, tort liability of alcohol servers, the innkeeper-guest relationship, franchise agreements and the agency relationship in the travel agency. Successful completion of the course will help students to assess the risks of a given course of action in the operation of a hospitality business. Relevant statues and selected cases are examined.
