Screen Practices
This course offers an interdisciplinary exploration of the way media formats inform the aesthetics, social significance, and creative potential of various screen-based media. Paying particular attention to the organization of the relation of the audience or user with the screen, the course examines the technological infrastructure, industry conventions, architectural or urban context, and various types of screens commonly employed for artistic and cultural use including cinematic, televisual, interactive, mobile, and touch-sensitive screens.
