PHL 607
Contemporary Continental Philosophy
This course explores some of the major thinkers and themes emerging in contemporary continental philosophy, which can include recent developments in phenomenology, feminism, Marxism, deconstruction, psychoanalytic theory, post-colonialism, and critical theory. Topics may include technology and its sociopolitical effects, subjectivity, community, the nature of social and political life, challenges to humanism, global crisis, and the limits of philosophy.
