POG 416
The Politics of Canadian Federalism
The decision to create two levels of government in Canada, in other words, a federal system of government, continues to shape Canadian politics to this day. This course explores Canadian federalism as it reflects and refracts a diverse set of communities (regional, linguistic, economic, political, social and ethnic) and attempts to find a balance between unity and diversity in a coherent and workable set of relationships and public policies.
