RTA 104
Introductory Audio Production
Through a combination of lecture and in-studio workshops, students develop foundational skills in audio production: recording, editing, and mixing. Students apply these skills through the creation of a personal podcast that includes components of studio recording, field and studio interviews, sound design, and music editorial.

I didn't love this class because I'm not really an audio person. You create a podcast over the course of the semester and you have to go out and interview people which is a bit intimidating. You learn useful stuff like protools but I wouldn't take it again.

The podcast course. Learned to use pro tools software and audio equipment, including the Allan Slaight Studio and personal production spaces. Time management is important but assignments are clear. Lab instructors differ from lecturer (online). No quiz or test.
